Our approach
We take a GDPR-conscious approach to data handling: we collect only what we need to provide FirstMileage, we explain how we use it, and we give you control over it. This page complements our Privacy Policy.
Who is responsible for your data
- Individual and freelance accounts: OZIL TECH LLC is the data controller.
- Business accounts: the company is the controller of its drivers' trip and vehicle data, and OZIL TECH LLC acts as processor on the company's instructions. The company is responsible for informing its drivers and having a lawful basis for tracking them. A data processing agreement is available on request.
Why we process data
- Contract: to provide the service you signed up for.
- Legitimate interests: to secure and improve the service and prevent fraud.
- Consent: for location permission on your device and for optional cookies or marketing, which you can withdraw at any time.
- Legal obligation: to keep billing and tax records.
Your rights
You can ask us to give you access to your data, correct it, delete it, restrict or stop certain processing, or provide a portable copy. You can withdraw consent at any time.
Email support@firstmileage.com with the subject "Data request". We may need to verify your identity. Requests are free, and we aim to respond within one month. If you are on a business account, we may need to refer your request to your company.
Export and deletion
You can request a copy of your data at any time, and Driver and Business plans include PDF and CSV exports. When you delete your account, we delete or anonymize your personal data within 90 days, except records we must keep by law, such as billing and tax records.
Transfers and service providers
We are based in the United States. We use service providers for hosting, payment processing, email and analytics, and they are bound to protect your data. For transfers from the EEA or UK, we use safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses where required. A list of provider categories is available on request.
Security and incidents
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal data. If a data breach affects you, we will notify the relevant authorities and affected people as the law requires.

If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, contact us first and we will try to resolve it. You also have the right to complain to your local data protection supervisory authority.
