Who we are
FirstMileage is operated by OZIL TECH LLC, 1209 Mountain Rd PL NE STE R, Albuquerque, NM 87110, United States. For individual accounts we are the data controller. For business accounts, see the roles described on our Data & Privacy page.
Information we collect
- Account information: name, email address, login credentials, company name and selected plan.
- Trip and location data: GPS location, route, start and end points, dates, distance, trip category, purpose and notes, collected while trip tracking is running.
- Vehicle and expense data: vehicle details, expense entries and receipts you upload.
- Billing information: payments are handled by our payment processor. We receive limited details such as plan, payment status and billing country.
- Device and usage data: device type, operating system, app version, IP address and activity logs.
- Communications: messages you send to support and your email preferences.
How we use your information
- To provide the service: record trips, organize mileage, log expenses and create reports.
- To manage your account, subscription and payments.
- To give support and send service messages.
- To keep the service secure, prevent fraud and fix problems.
- To improve FirstMileage and understand how features are used.
- To meet legal obligations.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your trip or location data for advertising.
Location data
FirstMileage records your location to track trips while tracking is running. Location access is controlled by permissions on your device, and you can stop tracking or withdraw permission at any time in your device settings. Without location access, GPS trip tracking will not work.
Who we share data with
- Service providers that help us run FirstMileage, such as hosting, payment processing, email delivery, analytics and customer support. They may only use data to provide services to us.
- Your company, if you use a business account. Administrators can see the trip records of the drivers in their account.
- People you choose, such as an accountant or employer you send an export to.
- Authorities or other parties where the law requires it, or to protect rights and safety.
- A successor business if OZIL TECH LLC is involved in a merger or sale, with the same protections.
How long we keep data
We keep your data while your account is active. After you delete your account, we delete or anonymize your personal data within 90 days, except records we must keep by law, such as billing and tax records.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (including the EEA, UK and California), you may have the right to access, correct, delete or export your data, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent. To exercise a right, email us at support@firstmileage.com with the subject "Privacy request". We aim to respond within 30 days. You may also complain to your local data protection authority.
International transfers
We are based in the United States, and our providers may process data in the US and other countries. Where the law requires, we use safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses for transfers from the EEA or UK.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data. No online service can be completely secure, so please use a strong, unique password.
Children
FirstMileage is intended for people aged 18 or over. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has given us data, contact us and we will delete it.
